The education given during these years of a child’s life plays a very important role and helps in proper development of children. Early childhood education can be fundamentally termed as “Learning through play”. Recent research have shown that early eight years in any children life are crucial time because during this phase their brain develops and much of its ‘wiring’ is laid down. The education experiences and relationships a child has along with nutrition can actually affect child mental growth enormously. While good early childhood education helps the brain to develop in healthy ways, improper education or study without play on other hand may affect brain development in different manner. So the experiences and the learning of a child in early years can support them in their entire life.

Recent studies of early childhood education have even shown some remarkable success. It resulting effects on child motivation and learning power last for a long time. Today where education has become very important role to play in a society, it is not right to postpone investing in children education until they become adults, nor wait till they reach school age. In fact early childhood is a vital phase of life in terms of a child’s intellectual, emotional and social development. Besides this, the most important point to know is that the growth of mental abilities is at an astounding rate and high proportion of learning takes place during this period.

It is very important for every parent to understand that a child spends first eight years in realization of his or her own identity. These are very crucial years when children gain a sense of self and learn to associate themselves with the people around them. They develop an understanding and behavior to a certain extent. For this reason it is suggested that early childhood education during these years should be more focused on teaching children about the world around them through play and establish the links. Moreover, many child development experts also agree that play is very important in the learning and emotional development of children. A play can be multi-facet and often helps in educating different skills in children. In addition to this, education through play also helps them learn social skills, and develop values and ethics.

Certainly, today it won’t be wrong to say that early childhood education is the key element that helps in building a god foundation for child’s educational success. Every child learns habit and form patterns that are not easily changed in later years. If parents and educators can develop productive early education patterns for the children in their charge, those children will be on their way to achieving great educational success. The lack of parental interaction during early childhood can negatively impact a child’s development. Ultimately it is the equal responsibility of the parents and tutors to assure the children have a good early childhood education that can further help them develop their personalities.

With the advancement in technology and increased use of the internet, online education has gained significant acceptance and popularity, all over the world. With more and more degrees being offered online, traditional institutes are now facing a number of challenges. All of this has resulted in a serious competition between online and traditional educational programs, with the merits along with the demerits of both the modes of study being measured. A detailed and well-researched analysis was strongly required to find the right answer to the question “Is the trend of online education worth this increased popularity and global acceptance?”

And so, the United States Department of Education took the responsibility of coming up with a result regarding this hot issue. What the 12-year study proved was a shock to a number of people who questioned the recognition of online educational degrees and credentials. According to the study, online degrees offered on the basis of online tutorials and examinations are in a way more successful as compared to the traditional degrees accomplished after following face-to-face tuition. Online educational techniques are not only flexible and interactive but at the same time interesting as well (thanks to those audio, video materials applied in teaching). Besides, the fact that the student has straight access to an assigned professor or lecturer makes it much better than traditional educational programs.

The fact that online education is affordable and more flexible than the other mode of study, makes people doubt this educational scheme. However, the point that students only have to pay for the tuition and study two hours a day is strong enough to satisfy those curious minds. And the best part is that when studying online, there are no extra expenses such as the accommodation charges which constitute a major part of the ‘fees’.

Now, there are several other merits of online studies including:

- You can access the study material from anywhere and at any desired time. In other words, you enjoy the JIT (Just-In-Time) benefit.
- Updating is simple and easy. Maintenance of the sessions is a piece of cake as useful and updated material is timely uploaded onto the server.
- There’s no need to stay with the lecturer’s pace and rush to the next topic without understanding the previous one. During online education, you can read a particular topic a number of times and take your time to finish the syllabus.
- The study techniques used are better and more interesting. E-sessions have those videos, charts and graphs that make it easier for the students to memorize things.

Online degrees are in no way regarded inferior degrees as compared to the traditional degrees, in the current job market. In certain fields including the IT degree, the priority levels are much higher for online degrees.

Why would any family make the choice to keep their kids at home all day when they could send them off to school? We have a social fantasy about putting our little one on the big yellow school bus where they will meet lots of friends and fondly wave goodbye to Mom. Well, sometimes that story works out differently.

The days of homeschooling being the signature choice for overprotective religious enthusiasts has disappeared. Although many faith-focused families do homeschool, this choice is dominated by people who want to make a positive difference in a child’s educational quality and experience, regardless of their spiritual disposition.

This choice is especially attractive to families who have children with special needs. Although many schools are making great strides in addressing their needs and facilitating their progress, they often lack the resources to give the comprehensive care that some children require. In addition, parents can be trained in proven techniques and combine this knowledge with their unique intuition to provide the best possible outcome.

Another group that gravitates toward homeschooling is ‘attachment parenting’ enthusiasts. This philosophy, coined by pediatrician William Sears professes that: “the child forms a strong emotional bond with caregivers during childhood with lifelong consequences. Sensitive and emotionally available parenting helps the child to form a secure attachment style which fosters a child’s socio-emotional development and well being.” Parents who embrace this philosophy typically breastfeed, allow their children to share their bed, and are careful about their dietary choices, therefore providing their children with a personalized education only seems natural.

There are some parents who homeschool because they find the environment at the school to be unhealthy. When we hear about the rising problem of bullies, gang violence, and peers pressuring one another to use drugs and alcohol and to engage in sexual intimacy, many parents decide that these negative factors outweigh the benefits of school. The degree to which these issues are a problem vary significantly between districts or regions but more parents are realizing that their children’s educational needs can be met without endangering their children’s welfare.

And the reason we homeschool, is because it is a fantastic feeling to see your children explore their curiosity, and to be the one who provides the answers to their questions, and to watches them grow and improve their knowledge and skills day-to-day. It is not an easy job, by any means, but just as giving birth can be difficult, feeding their hunger for knowledge is priceless. Not every parent is equipped to handle all of their child’s educational needs but fortunately, we enlist the help of our community. When the village works together to get the job done, we all benefit.
